Outline of Thesis

1. Title:

English language Competence among Security personnel in Faculty of Medicine UiTM

2. Problem statement:

2.1. Having a workforce who can speak and write in English/management in Faculty of Medicine of UiTM has emphasized the need for the staff to use English when communicating with other staff, visitors and students.
2.2. The primary objective of the study is to identify the English language skills at the workplace. It is also aimed to explore the actual performance of the security personnel in using English.
2.3. By understanding the trends, Bahagian Keselamatan can improve on personnel development and encourage them to improve their communication skills by using proper English language when speaking.

3. Statement of purpose:

3.1. To identify the level of competence of security personnel in using English Language when communicate or speak using English language.
3.2. To identify steps taken to improve English among the security personnel
3.3. To identify the pattern of English language used when communicating with others

4. Research of the questions

4.1. What level of English language competence they possess when communicating?
4.2. What are the different steps they take to improve English?
4.3. What is the pattern of language used by security guards when they speak

5. Methodology:

5.1. Type :Combination of both (qualitative and quantitative)
5.2. What is it : Co relational
5.3. Sample :Security personnel will be picked at random in UiTM Faculty of Medicine.
5.4. Instrument :Interviews and questionnaires
5.5. Data Analysis :Data will be analyzed based on the frequency and percentage .
Based to the result, table and bar chart are used to represent the findings.
